The Lord Razu

The Lord Razu - The Theme. The Anthem. If you hear it once, you’ll hear it for eternity.

Behind the Track

I wrote The Lord Razu when I was at a turning point in life.

Initially, the song came from being upset with a friend who felt I was betraying him by making music without him. It started as a diss track, but I also mixed in my feelings toward the music industry—how so many songs sounded the same, just different artists and different hooks, while the lyrics often felt copied.

The subtext is really me talking about my life and some of the emotional state I was in at the time, while also mixing in the fantasy of being a ninja. I was 19, so I had a lot of anger and emotion, which is why the song translates in such a dark way.

In 2022, I relocated to Oakland, California. Before I left Virginia, I wanted to do something in remembrance of the original song, so I remastered "Rap Game" and made a music video for it.

In a way, it became a chance to revisit something I created at 19 before beginning a completely different chapter of my life.

darkness

What is darkness?

The place where I feel most at peace.

The place where I feel the most in chaos.

I’m attracted by its comfort.

But warded by its solitude.

Wherever I go it follows.

But whenever I chase it, it hollows.

Why does it hurt me as much as it helps me?

How does something complete me as

much as it depletes me?

When I stare into its vast ocean all I see is

nothing.

But when I close my eyes all I see is the

pillar to build something.

The place in which most people fear.

Is the place in which I hold most dear.

What is darkness?

The place where I can be me.

The place where I can be free.

MUSIC

My heart and soul

The one thing that makes me feel alive.

The place where I can reveal my true nature

The place where I can express my feelings with no worry

It accepts me for who I am

It never wants to change me

Always embraces me with open arms

It encourages me to stay on my path

Always by my side it never takes advantage of me.

It’s the place where I can craft any outcome

Where my opinion is always considered

Where my voice isn’t beittled

It cares what I have to say.

It will never turn me away.

On my happiest of days I can count on it.

On my worst of days I can count on it.

Music

My heart and soul.

welcome to the exclusive area

This is where I keep the things that don’t belong everywhere else.

Some of this music was never meant to become an album. Some of it is unfinished. Some of it comes from ideas I walked away from, versions that changed, experiments that went somewhere completely different, or moments I simply wanted to preserve.

The same goes for the artwork and photography. Not everything I create needs to become part of a release or be posted publicly. Sometimes I just like something enough to keep it.

I wanted this space to be different.

If you’re here, you’ve chosen to invest in what I’m creating, so I want you to have more than access to the same things I put everywhere else. You’ll find instrumentals, demos, alternate work, downloads, artwork, photographs, and pieces from different points in my life and music that I decide to open up.

Some things will be polished. Some won’t be.

That’s part of the point.

Welcome to the archive.

RAP GAME

Rap game - this is the song that really started it all and put me on the path where I am today.

Behind the Track

I wrote "Rap Game" when I was 19 years old.

JOURNAL ENTRY 001

Why are we here?

I've been thinking about what made me want to document this journey.

It's been a dream of mine for a long time—to have a website.

A place that is mine.

A place where I can be witnessed.

A place where I can speak, feel, create, and know that it's rightfully my safe space.

Mine.

The last four and a half years that I've been in California have really changed my perspective about the world and life.

I've been through some very tough times.

And as I improved to be a better person, I wanted to document who I was and share it with the world while growing more into myself.

What changed my perspective was the different side of the world, different people, different culture, different ways of living.

I experienced some severe adversity.

The biggest difference I can really think about is that I'm more of myself.

I see myself more.

Maybe the other side that I couldn't see is more at the forefront, and now I feel more integrated.

Even though I was attentive to others around me, I wasn't true to my intention, at least not upfront.

Internally, when I sat with myself, I would be able to process things like that.

I had the drive, or the auto-steering, to get where I'm at today.

It's like a version of me was clawing to get out, but I would suppress it in order to meet reality with others.

I felt that I would be alone if I were to express fully what I feel, what I want, what I need, and what my purpose is.

I felt like it was overpowering. Too much.

That's one reason why I leaned toward music, so I could be heard, felt, and seen.

I think it was the beginning of when I felt like my voice didn't matter, where I was told to be silent, whether it was by the world or my family.

So I would retreat into whatever world that I could relate to, like Ninja Turtles, which was when I was three years old.

But as I got older, I was definitely inspired by Ninja Gaiden.

This is only the beginning.

I don't know exactly where this journey will lead, but I know it's worth remembering.

So, today, I begin.
